- In an initial phase, IMEC is looking for an IT/OT gateway (Edge) to facilitate the secure and efficient exchange of data between the traditionally separate domains of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT). The edge is designed to process, extend and analyze data closer to the source or "edge" of the network. The Edge should also host our selected OT message bus. Edge capability can be clustered across discrete hardware for load balancing and failover. Each member of the cluster is a producer and consumer on the message bus.
