The contract, published under Notice 654167-2025 in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ S 192/2025), covers the “Verbouwing campus Jette” project-an ambitious refurbishment of the 15,750 m² university campus.
The project will be executed in three phases, allowing the campus to remain operational throughout the construction period.
Work is scheduled to begin on 3 November 2025, with completion expected by 15 December 2028. The procurement procedure was conducted under the open procedure format in compliance with EU Directive 2014/24/EU.
The object of the assignment is the renovation of a college campus of 15,750 m2 while the college will remain in use during the works - the works will be carried out in 3 phases.
The tender attracted eight bids from major Belgian construction firms, reflecting high interest in the project. Competing bidders included Peremans, Artes Roegiers, Louis De Waele Construction, Pellikaan Bouwbedrijf, Valens, Strabag Belgium, and A C H Bouw.
Robert Wyckaert secured the contract as the lowest admissible tender, submitting an offer of €24,263,758.28, while the highest bid reached nearly €29.48 million.
The award criteria weighted price at 80 points, underscoring the project’s emphasis on cost-efficiency within public procurement standards.
