Description : Building on previous research, the general objective of this tender is to support evidence-based policy-making at national and EU level by harmonising existing methodologies and definitions on sport statistics, paving the way towards a possible future European Sport Satellite Account. The specific objectives include the set-up of a Task Force to elaborate, in collaboration with Eurostat, harmonised definitions and methodologies on sport statistics, provide technical support to national efforts of developing national Sport Satellite Accounts and to contribute to the EU and national policy-making process by providing background information and analysis on specific topics using sport statistics on economic and social aspects. The results of these activities would feed into the policy process, including the follow-up work of the Expert Groups on Economic Dimension and on Sport Statistics in the context of the Council-s work and the implementation of the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021-2024.
